Bridge to Woods Wednesday

This program offers a peaceful way to bridge the gap between morning and afternoon programming.

As we work to make Prairie Flower more accessible for more families, “Bridge to Woods Wednesday” offers parents and guardians another way to integrate Prairie Flower into their personal schedules and their children’s lives.

Preschool children too young for Woods Wednesday can benefit from extended quiet time at Prairie Flower, while preschoolers who are old enough to be enrolled in Woods Wednesday can stay at the center during this gap time. Woods Wednesday students coming from elsewhere now also have the opportunity to come earlier.

  • Who: All current Poemtree children AND all current preschool children AND other children who might benefit from this restful bridge between morning and afternoon.

  • When: 12-2:30 on Wednesdays. This program will take place immediately after the Prairie Flower preschool morning is done. Note: Children who are not enrolled in the Woods Wednesday Nature Club must be picked up at 2:30 pm.

  • What: A peaceful resting bridge between morning and afternoon programming for children involved in various programs/ schooling solutions.

  • How it works: All children in this program will bring a lunch from home, eat picnic-style together outside (as weather allows) from 12:15-12:45, and then rest on hammocks outside or cozy blankets inside until about 2:15, when we'll get ready for Woods Wednesday Nature Club (or ready to go home).  All children, regardless of age, will be required to participate in this quiet rest and relax time, but they are welcome to bring books and quiet activities to use at their resting spots.

Cost:
$240/ full-time semester  (20 weeks) OR monthly payment of $48
$120/ half-time semester (10 weeks, alternating) OR monthly payment of $24
